What is Stainless Steel ER-320LR Filler Wires?

Stainless Steel ER-320LR Filler Wires contain approximately 19–21% chromium, 32–36% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, with low carbon and trace amounts of niobium, silicon, and manganese. The “LR” (Low Residuals) version ensures minimal carbon and ferrite content, reducing the risk of carbide precipitation and promoting superior weld integrity. The wire has a yield strength of about 300 MPa, a tensile strength of about 550–700 MPa, and an elongation of more than 30%. It is perfect for crucial fabrication and repair work because it provides exceptional weldability, toughness, and corrosion resistance, particularly in highly oxidising and reducing environments.
