What is AWS Class ERNiCrMo-3 SAW & Flux?

The AWS Class ERNiCrMo-3 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy wire that contains about 60% nickel, 20–23% chromium, and 8–10% molybdenum, along with small amounts of iron and cobalt. This unique composition gives it excellent resistance to a variety of corrosive environments. When used with the right flux, the weld metal can achieve a tensile strength of approximately 100–110 ksi (690–760 MPa) while maintaining great ductility and toughness, even at higher temperatures. Its low carbon content helps reduce carbide precipitation, making it a great choice for harsh environments that demand both mechanical and chemical resilience.
