The AWS Class ER316LSi MIG and TIG filler welding wire features a composition of 18-20% Chromium, 11-14% Nickel, 2-3% Molybdenum, and a maximum of 0.03% Carbon, along with added Silicon (0.65-1.00%) to enhance the appearance and fluidity of the weld bead. This blend significantly boosts corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of around 80,000 psi (550 MPa), a yield strength of about 55,000 psi (380 MPa), and a minimum elongation of 30%. Its excellent ductility, toughness, and crack resistance make it perfect for high-performance welding in challenging environments.
